As an artist, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to paint and draw without boundaries. My style is largely experimental with an emphasis on landscape, figure, portrait and abstract art. I never set out to replicate an image but instead strive to convey a mood or evoke an emotion using loose lines, rich textures and bold colours. I particularly love life drawing and feel that, along with portraiture, it is my biggest challenge as an artist.
Born in Ajax, Ontario, Nancy grew up in a household where art and creativity were always encouraged. She has often credited her father Wayne Moore, a retired artist living in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, with giving her a solid foundation with which to build on.
Nancy is a graduate of the Graphic Design program at George Brown College and although she is still involved in graphic design her passion has always been fine art.
The subject of Nancy’s paintings are often landscape, portrait, figure or abstract art. She enjoys experimenting with different mediums working mostly in acrylics and in some instances, pencil, charcoal or oil paint.
Nancy’s style has been described as vibrant, unique and exciting. Her artwork can be found at galleries and private collections throughout Canada and in the UK.
