The Energy and Motion Collection plays with the positive and negative space. Staining the background, Kate works to capture the energy of tulip petals blowing in the breeze or a summer wave. The birch panel wood grain in the background is an integral part of the composition. Many of the pieces in the collection are coated with a resin epoxy to enhance the wood grain and reflect the viewer in the piece.
